My grandfather was born in the 1890's. Mother was Emma Gussman, father George Waggoner (or Waggner) in Crawford County, PA.   Emma passed away when he was very young, He was formally adopted by his maternal aunt.  I am looking for information for George.  He seems to have disappeared.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Do you know the name of his maternal aunt?  Any dates for Emma or George and where they might have been born?

And what is your grandfather's full name and birth date?  I would be happy to see what I can find and let you know.

Good morning Sharon,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

Emma Gussman (Emily in 1870 Census) was born in Titusville, PA around 1866. died 1893-94

Her mother was Catherine (born in Germany around 1830)- died 2-22-1915

er father was Philip (Germany around 1826)

Kenneth Paul Wagoner (my grandfather) born 10-31-1892 in Titusville, PA -died 6-30-1943

He was adopted in Crawford County County Record 138-43 Nov. 1895 by Edith Gussman,

He was raised by his grandmother Catherine, Edith, and her sister Catherine (known as Kate) and

Kate's husband Frank Ferguson.

The record I have from the courthouse has his name changed from Kenneth Paul Wagoner to Kenneth

Paul Gussman.  How/when/where it was changed to Kenneth Paul Ferguson I have no clue.

There were several George (George) Wagoners in Crawford county but not knowing his place or date of birth

I got stymied.

I appreciate any help or suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

Jean
