Hi Robert;
I did some searching and found this;

Bay Roberts Guardian 1937
MF 5150
about 1/2 way down the page
Saturday, March 13, 1937
Died at her late residence, 17 (?) Garnet Avenue, Toronto, February 11th, MARY PRINCE, widow of the late William Prince and mother of Lew, Sam, Jack, the late Elile and Robert Prince. Remains rested at above address. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

From Ontario Death Registrations also about 1/2 way down the page.
PRINCE, Jean Evelyn, f, March 27 1915, 4 months 6 days, Toronto, cause - malnutrition & general weakness from birth, convulsions 10 hours, infm - Robert Prince, d/o Robert Prince & Elizabeth L. Muir, Toronto (York Co) 002703-15

These two notices would put the death date of Robert PRINCE between 1915 & 1937.
I didn't find Robert nor his father William in Newfoundland, but you should check out http://ngb.chebucto.org/ I found that the search engine sometimes misses things so if you could narrow down, where in Newfoundland they came from, you could search each smaller area individually, manually.
