I am Dr. Kay Van Cleave, Houston, Texas. I did a lot of genealogy about 15 years ago, especially with the help of Allan Wenzel of CA, who wrote the best books on the Van Cleaves. I am starting back. I do have Montfoorts on my Dutch side, and my Mother's grandfather was John Montfort of Co. Antrim, Little Ballymena, Ireland. My grandmother was Margaret Montfort.

Welcome aboard Kay....glad to have you at my back.....lol.
Hi I am new. Some of my ancestors are Banta, Montfort, Demarest, Terhune, Westerfield, , Voorhees/Voris/etc, ,

Hi, my name is Madehlinne, better known as Maddie.  It's just been in the last six months that I have discovered to my pleasure that I am related to the Banta family from Frisia in the Netherlands who emigrated to Nieuw Amsterdam {New York} in 1659.

Through the Banta's many intermarriages, I am related to many of the Dutch families who settled not only in New York but also in New Jersey.
