I would like to heap laurels upon a particular volunteer photographer for FAG who has assisted me in more ways than one and who goes the extra mile to preserve family history in visual form. Her work is sensitive to the family's memories of their deceased ancestors. Got any ideas as to which is the highest elevation from which to shout?

To Dawn Hicks, about finding someone in England. Just go to F.A.G. in England, the go down the steps to the particular cemetery, just like requests here in the U.S.

Findagrave has clearly been one of the best sites I have found for searching for my ancestors...and I have met so many incredible people that are more than willing to help me any way they can. Thank you to EVERY contributor out there!!

Wow, Mary, great info. Thanks; something we all need to tuck away in our remembrance. Who knows if and when we might need this.

Find.A.Grave guidelines state that contributers should transfer withing 4 generations of direct line descendants, up to and including your ggrandparents. That does not mean that your friend can't have her cousin transfered to her. An email to info@findagrave should be sufficient. Make sure that she gives her name, acct number, memorial number and and name and acct number of the other graver. it would be best if she could insert links for the above. Write a description of her relationship to the cousin, what steps she has taken and why she would like the memorial transferred. In other words, be as detailed as possible.

I first must say that I LOVE findagrave. The experiences that I have had with people have been most rewarding. I can't say enough about them.
However, I received an email from my friend on findagrave and she has run into a lady who will not transfer her cousin's memorial page over to her. First this ancestor is not related to this woman. She has decided she will only transfer what she calls "direct descendants" and a cousin does not fit that catagory BECAUSE she wants to win the Guiness World Book of Records????
Please, do not ruin our findagrave!!!!! Why do people always have to do this???
What can be???
