Merritt family

They supposedly came from Northern Ireland in early 1700's to coast of Conn. John Meritt and wife had sons, John 1745-46 and perhaps Ebenezer Merritt. There are others Merritts in the area, Joseph, Ebenezer, and George... Early records in America seem to be lost.
