I'm looking for MILLERs near York and Lancaster, PA. Rachel MILLER (married John BYERS) and is dau. of Rudolph MILLER and his wife Jane (supposedly Jane Belz-Huber in a record I once saw). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Millers were originally "Muller" until it was anglicized upon coming to the U.S. The farthest back I can go is Jacob Muller/Miller, born c 1730 (possibly Durlach, Baden, Germany). Jacob immigrated to the U.S., arriving on the ship 'President' into Philadelphia, PA on 27 Sep 1752. Jacob married Anna Maria Pabst on 25 Nov 1758 at the Moslem Lutheran Church, Windsor Township, Berks, PA. Their children were:

Anna Miller (c 1760-1812) married Phillip BURNS
Henry Miller (c 1763-1815) married Sarah WILFONG
Johan Georg Miller (born 28 Aug 1765) died young.
Maria Anna Magdalena Miller (1767-1821) married Conrad HAWN
Phillip Miller (c 1770-1823) married Maria Margaretha HELDERMAN
Jacob Miller (born c 1778) married Elizabeth WHITLEY

Jacob (Sr.) died July 1808 in Lincoln, NC. He had moved there sometime between 1767 and 1770. He owned land in both Burke & Lincoln counties. His wife Anna died in May 1817 in Lincoln, NC.

I was told Jacob (Jr) died in Washington, KY (year unknown). My descent is through Anna (Miller) Burns, who died 1812 in Washington, KY.

Here is what I know about my other Millers:

Jacob A. Miller (from Germany?) + ?? =
Jacob A. Miller + ?? =
Jacob A. "Jake" Miller (b. 1807 or 1810 TN) + Amanda Jane Davis (b. 1833 ; m. 1851)

Hope I make a connection :-)

My Millers are from Norway:

Anton Miller + Agna Brindelson (m 1879 Norway) =
Edward Andreas Miller (b. 1888 WI) + Janet Ellen McInaney (b. 1890 Canada ; m. 1914 ID)
Justin Edward Miller + Marjorie Jean Cummins

I know it is a longshot, but does anyone have any Norwegian Millers that may be related??

My Miller/Muller/Mueller family lived in the North Side of Pittsburgh. They also had German and Swiss ties. They owned a brickyard and a tavern.
