Edward (?Pope) Wills
Hi all, I am stuck with my 4xggrandfather Edward ?pope Wills born c1829, married Eliza Daniels on 29/8/1850 in Easebourne, Sussex, England and then emmigrated to Australia aboard the Harpley arrived in South Australia on the 15/1/1851, Listed on passenger list as E. Wills and wife. There is also a John Wills listed onboard. I don't know if they are related.
edward and Eliza's wedding certificate name Edward's father as Edward P Wills -occupation publican. No mother listed.
I would like to find info on parents and any siblings. Who the John Wills was listed on passenger list or any information really.
Any assisstance that anyone may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Cathy,
I have found a birth record for Edward Pope Wills if it is any help which I have attached. I have also found a marriage record for Edward Pope Wills of Chichester Sussex aged 29 to Jane Hudson of Ramsgate Kent aged 22 at Ramsgate on 3rd November 1828. This would seem to tie in with about the time your Grandfather was born. The record is in the Kent, Surrey, London Collection - Canterbury Marriage Licences(1810 - 1837) Volume 36 - Attachments:

Hi Margaret, Thank you very much, that does tie in. How would I go about ordering a copy of this record? Any further information that you can find out would be great. I live in Australia and a friend and I are making atrip next year to England for family history purposes and I would love to be able to visit areas that my anscestors came from

Hi GeneJ, Thank you for your information. Unfortunately I don't have access to a FHL but will look into it. I have searched census on Ancestory but have been unable to find an Edward or Jane Wills. Neither have I been able to locate any siblings.
