GEORGE W. MAYS, KY/AR - Place of death/burial

Hi,
GEORGE W. MAYS, b KY/AR appears on the 1900 AR census and then drops from sight. His wife, Jane, appears later with children as widowed. I haven't been able to locate a death certificate or burial site for either. The state of AR hasn't been able to help; no known records.
Any help would be appreciated.
