Looking for Lydia Phipps
I am looking for Lydia Phipps who was born approx 1805 in NC? and lived in Virginia. She was the mother of Sarah (Sally) Phipps Chapman who was married to Joseph Chapman. I can find no info on Lydia, except that she may have been born in NC. I haven't been able to locate any husband or parents. She lived in Washington & Smyth County in Virginia. Her date of death was approximately after 1860, no mention of her in the 1870 census or that I can find.

Thank you for responding and with such good questions, I'll try and answer as best I can.
1. I don't know who Sarah's father was, (Sarah is my GG Grandmother)
2. I have through the years seen the census report that had Lydia residing with Joseph & Sarah,
3. Yes, I have looked up info on the siblings, hoping that there may be a lead with them. At that time I didn't find any. I believe one of her brothers may have been killed in the Civil War.
4. Yes, I have seen or have copied the death record for Sarah, seems like no listing of parents and actually a family friend was the informant, instead of a family member.
