I havea Mary who was married to Timothy Harrington about 1822 in Vermont. Mary would have been boorn in Vermont between 1800 and 1805. Mary & Timothy had at least 3 children who were also born in Vermont. The family lived in Sheldon, Franklin County, VT at the time of the 1830 and 1840 Censuses. I lost track of the family after they moved to New York state during the 1840s. Does have any information about this family?

Hi GeneJ,
Hi GeneJ,

I have added a Family Group Sheet for my Harrington family. Henry Harrington is my ancestor.

I split my original messagein two parts. My Hayes question is in another message.

I do not have copies of the Census information. I extracted ine information from Herotage Quest.

Much of the Harrington information has been published in the Nellis Genealogy Books.

Hi GeneJ,

The wife of Henry Harrington was Mary Nellis Smith. She is my connection to the Nellis family. My mother new her quite well. Henry and Mary had 12 children, all born in different locations. I believe Henry was a lumberman and worked in many locations in New York. I have the genealogy of most of the family members on my website.

I have a copy of Henry's death certificate. It states that he was born on 3 Oct 1833 in Melbourne, Franklin County, VT. He had 2 sisters. Julia was born born about 1823 in VT and died on 3 Sep 1913. She married John Kavanaugh about 1854. Julia is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Auburn, Cayuga County, NY. Her brorher Timothy is also buried in the same cemetery. He was born about 1827 in VT. He died on 17 Dec 1898.

I have copies of Census Indexes for 1830 and 1840 for Vermont.

The 1850 Census is on Heritage Quest, butit is not indexed.Richard
Hi GeneJ,

I found the films you referenced on the familysearch website. Is there any way to view these films without going to the local FHL?
