I have gone back into the early 1800's the first few generations back I had not problem finding the ancestors using the common naming convention in Sweden during the time.  Now this one is stumping me.

Fran,

You may find that it could be variations . That doesn't help much :-) My GGGrandfather was Olaf & only 1 daughter used the last name as Olson. But to answer your question, most likely it would be Olsson & Olsdottor. If you are searching by names, make sure to check the dates of birth to make sure.

Good luck!

Donna
Thank you, I found Olsson and Olsdotter with the correct dates! Wasn't sure, because all of the rest of the surnames are exact as the first name. (i.e. Bengtsson, Jeppsson) I thought it might be Olasson.
Ola can be Ola, Olaf, Olof, Ulf
The patronymicon can be Olsson, Ohlsson, Olasson, Olausson, Olofsson
The last one is pretty rare use of Ola
