What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?
US (NY & PA), Germany, Northern Ireland
What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Advanced Family History Researcher
If you are a genealogy expert, what are your specialties?
Well, not exactly an expert, but I concentrate on Western New York families. And I tend to be good at untangling mounds of old papers and photos and making sense of them.
Hi Tara, I noticed you listed Lowry as one of the surnames you are interested in. Me too! My name is John Lowry, I'm 31 years old, and I can trace my Lowry lineage back 5 generations including my own.
My great-great-grandfather was William Lowry, who married Isabel Edmonds, and died Oct 23, 1924. My great-grandfather was Robert Lowry and he married Victoria Harris in 1893. My grandfather was James Lowry, born June 6th 1901, married Josie Lemmons, died July 7th 1976. My father is also John Lowry.
I can trace most of my Lowry roots to Oklahoma and Southern California, with a few in Texas and Tennessee.
If any of those ring a bell for you, I love to swap some information. Or if they aren't familiar and you want the info anyway, I'd still be happy to provide info (and I do have it in a GEDCOM file).
