Chastity, the Jones surname is my paternal grandfather and his mother. Unfortunately, not much information on granddad's mother, yet.

    Hello Chastity
I married a Cooper. His family are from England. He is the 3rd generation here in the states. What would you like to know and I will see if I can help.

I must confess, Chastity, a co-worker did that for me. Little did he know that I would use it for the world to see! Quite appropriate for this forum!

  • Georgeia Mangione

Thank you for the birthday wishes! BTW - I agree with the Germany factor. My father is Scottish, but has a distinctly German name. No one knows why - it goes back several generations. Unusual name, as well. The reason behind the name died along with my grandfather - he would never discuss it. One of the many mysteries we find researching......
Happy day, and enjoy that gorgeous baby! Georgeia

Have you any info on the connection between the Hockaday School and the Hockaday Family? My mother's maiden name was Hockaday - she was born 1898 in Lydney, Gloucestershire.
