    Tammy,
Thanks for inviting me to be your friend.
My maiden name is DRAPER. My DRAPERs are all from Georgia in the Pulaski and Ben Hill County areas. I have found my grandfather's death certificate. Says is father is Frank DRAPER. I have found a suspicion that Frank may be from the Cherokee County area in NE Alabama. I haven't spent as much time on my dad's side as my mom's side.

    What about your DRAPERs?
  • John Eielson McCartney

    Hi Tammy,
I guess if you go back far enough, almost all of the U.S. Axtell descendants are from one son. One of my early ancestors is John Axtell, b: 23 APR 1818 in Peru, Berkshire, Massachusetts, USA. His son John Warren Axtell b: 29 DEC 1855 in Clayton, Winnebago, Wisc., was also an ancestor. Emeline Axtell was my maternal grandmother.
My data on John Sr.'s descendants is here:

I'm the living McCartney, well down the list.
I haven't done a whole lot with the Axtells as they are pretty well documented. But on occasion, I find an unknown, to me, Axtell obit, which I send in to the family historians.
    John

My line goes from the immigrant, Thomas who came about 1643, he had Henry, then my line goes Daniel, Thomas, then both Daniel and Thomas, then Nathan. Nathan married Elizabeth Clutter, then his son Thomas married Sarah Robb, also an Axtell descendent, then Elizabeth who married Embly Mount.
