If you are a genealogy expert, what are your specialties?
For the past 15 years, I have researched and compiled several family histories, as well as assisting many children and adults across the United States and abroad with their history & genealogy research and have presented free workshops in Marietta to those who do genealogy research. I am the Editor/Publisher of a free e-mail Newsletter that features many items that relate to the history of Washington County, Ohio. I have also written several stories & transcribed hundreds of old newspaper articles, records and documents that is now online as well as having several websites that relate to the history & genealogy of Washington County which has hundreds of old photos of people, places, and old headstones. For years, I had the website "Washington County, Historical & Genealogy Links" which has been proven to be very helpful for researchers across the country, as well as with many libraries, colleges, universities, teachers and school children. Since Hometown AOL recently closed it's doors, much of my work is being donated to the Washington County Chapter of Ohio Genealogy website.

    Hi Debbie,

I research anyone on Moms side of the family with the last name of Haught. Interestingly enough I made a connection with you and Mom tonight. I found out that you and her share the same 4th Great Grandparents, David and Catherine Beegle. I couldn't believe it when I found it. It was really neat. I haven't told Mom yet as she is sleeping but I'm sure she will think that it is really great also. I also wanted to tell you Thank You for the Marietta booklet and the postcard folder, they are really great!

I better go for now as it is getting late.

    Talk to you again soon,
    Ian
