I haven't had much time to check it all out, but so far I like it... its a lot like facebook. Thanks for the invite, hopefully I will get some time this weekend to get familiar with the site.
Thanks Sherry. I've been working alot of the surnames I've mentioned (and a few others) for about 6 years and I have hit my fair share of brickwalls. But its exciting to put the puzzels together. Our family has 2 sometimes 3 reunions annually and we that do research take along our finds & pic's that we have accumilated since last time. Needless to say we have a ball, as well as being able to update from each other. I'm looking forward to really getting more involved in genealogy research so thanks again for the welcome.
The EATON Cemetery is located in Barren County, Kentucky. It was uncovered by my father and his cousin a couple of years ago. It's in a small wooded area in the middle of a cow pasture. The old house belonged to John Eaton (1821-1887). He and his family are buried in that cemetery. The house still stands.
I just tried the "Chat" (the official GW Chat) and it didn't work very well. I couldn't see what I was typing (after I posted it) or if anyone was able to read it. Anyone else having trouble with it or is it just "operator error"?
Hi Sherry - I build all my sites by hand (no editor) but I use ACE to add such things as links and tables, as it is so much faster with ACE. I will send you my link to my freepages site later this morning.
Thank you.. I hope I get the hang of this...I have not mastered facebook and just found Genwise so thought I'd give it a try...might need some help along the way.
I have been the only one of 6 siblings doing genealogy for the family and with little or no input from relatives. I have quite a bit but need a lot more. Hoping I can find "more"here.
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Makes a good reminder for me to work more on getting together family data for my children and grandchildren. Interesting to see how many of us have the same birthday and some of us probably even share the same year.
