    Is your cousin Scott MacDonald Matheson? He's the only Scott that has done DNA testing. I did put an obituary for Brig. Gen.Bruce J. Matheson on USA Mathesons. I had encouraged our aviator to do DNA testing so we would know where he fit in the clan, but he never did.
    Let me know if this is his son Scott, because if it is not, then no one from your branch has done DNA testing.

    The main homeland of Clan Matheson is near Kyle of Lochalsh, across from the Isle of Skye. One of our chiefs was a Constable of Eilean Donan Castle which is in Dornie near there. My cousin Pam MacRae is a docent at the castle and runs a B & B near there. Another branch of the clan is from Sutherlandshire near Lairg. A third branch of the clan is from the Isle of Lewis. We also have other branches we are identifying.

    Greetings Ms Fairhurst. Yu had mentioned a few days ago that your grand niece ran a B& B in the area of Kyle of Lochalsh. My wife and I would be very interested in spending a night there since we do plan on a trip to the area. All I would need is the name and address to contact my travel agent to set it up.
