Hi Elsie, I'm glad you found your way here! I like your comment about your cousin annoying you! You should try and set up a few surname groups for Conibear, Gribble, etc and then invite your fellow researchers to join the new groups.
HI Elsie. Thanks for you inquiry. Family tradition has it that my Great Great Grandfather was born in Tiverton in May of 1827. He came to Canada in 1858 and settled in Ontario before moving to the Western Territories and settling in what is now Saskatchewan. However, Canadian Census information indicates he was born anywhere from 1828 to 1833 depending on the Census. Looking on Ancestry.ca the best match I have been able to find is in fact from Morchard Bishop born in 1833. Unfortunately the family has no information on his parents and he, Robert Cann, is my most difficult brick wall. Any info you might have would be most welcome. Thanks again.
Yes, I am trying to do this all from memory as my main server is down until I get another graphics card for it. I have checked the English Census information after 1858 when my GGGrandfather left England and eliminated most of those listed before. Thanks for looking for me though. CC
