Hi Sherry, Thank you for the welcome. I am so glad to have found genealogywise.com. I had no idea there was a website similar to facebook that concentrated on genealogy. I am excited to have found it and look forward to participating.
Thanks again, Tina
Sherry - thanks for the welcome! What was your step-father's name? My Staggs come through my GGGrandmother on my Mother's side of the family (Barbara Staggs) from Lawrenceburg, TN.
Thanks for the invites, Sherry. My husband is a Milam County, Texas, Wilkinson. Unfortunately, he doesn't share my enthusiasm and isn't interested in my tracing his roots. The Clarkes I'm researching are Ireland to West Virginia Clarkes.
I agree - it is a shame. But that doesn't mean that I couldn't contact his Aunt Joyce. She's done some good work in tracing their family line. They were one of the lucky groups that entered names and dates over the generations in a family bible. Don't hesitate to ask.
Thank you so much, Sherry. It's very nice to feel welcome, and I hope to see you again as we visit GenealogyWise.
My interests are with the Revolutionary War as well. My patriot was Thomas Potts of Colebrookdale, and a sixth great grandfather, Isaac Potts, owned Valley Forge where Gen. George Washington wintered 1777-78. The house is an historic landmark. What a thrill to have been able to visit that area during a Potts Reunion at Pottstown, PA in 2002.

Thank you so much for your birthday wishes, Sherry! I had a wonderful day, not the least of which was receiving cards and phone calls from my family and friends. Can't beat that--unless it's knocking down a brick wall, right?
Hi Sherry,
Thank you for your suggestions and advice it is very much appreciated, its difficult to know where to start at first so any help is welcome. I will take a look at the groups etc.

Sherry - I've been thinking alot about your blog comment --- the one about making yourself easy to find. That makes so much sense. How difficult is it for someone who doesn't have many tech skills to set up a web page or blog page?
Thank you. With Geocities closing and deleting all free web sites, webring.com moved my site to theirs, in its entirety. Trying to find how to edit my site, my daughter brought it all to the left margin, and deleted my graphics! At first I was quite satisfied with the move, though I found it to be terribly confusing. Geocities was so easy and simple. So now, I am looking for a new home for my http://www.geocities.com/richmond01_2000/index.html
Any suggestions?
Thank you for the welcome......... I hope that I might be able to get My genealogy and family tree completed someday.. I have a site already but don't know how to get it here. it is on Facebook under the genealogy they have there.
Hello Sherry Thankyou for the welcome. As an englishman may I say I am sorry that you and your countrymen felt the need to leave us in 1776. we miss you.May our present relationship prosper. Robert
