Hello Randal,
Welcome to the family! Would you care share as to how you are connected to Rev. Locke. I have quite a bit of info as well as links to show even more family info on the Lock/Locke family. I also have pictures of where they are laid to rest as well as the story behind how they were moved to that spot.
Please let us know about you and yours..

This is Ron again,
I looked at your profile and wanted to ask you did you know that the Trail of Tears went by the John Locke place in Barry Co MO. and stayed the night on his place along Flat river? The old home was still standing up until someone burned it down about 2-3 years ago.
The location of the home is just North-East of Cassville Mo. and just north of Star City.
I have talked to the lady who owns Star City Ranch right next to the Locke place and she knows alot about the Trail of Tears and that area.
More later

Thanks for the information. I had some of the names but stopped at Mary Elizabeth Harper and Arnold T. Burd. Do you by chance have more info on that branch that you would care to share?
My wife's line of the Lockes is:
father- Truman Q. Locke
grandfather- Leslie R. Locke
g-grandfather- John R. Locke
g-g- grandfather- Jacob B. Locke
g-g-g-grandfather- William H. Locke
g-g-g-g- grandfather- Rev. Jacob Locke
I'll look up the grave pictures of Rev. Jacob and post them here as soon as I find them again.
More later...
