Filbert line I am researching is Mussena Jacb Filbert born Jan 30 1860 in Wheeling, Illinois and died March 29 1911 in Fruita, Colorado.

    Kathleen,
If I research correctly I believe Missena parents were Peter and Ellen and Peter born in Bavaria. and his parents were Jacob Peter Filbert and Katharina Elisabetha Hausam. I don't have siblings for Jacob so maybe it the same line??

Hi Kathleen - My grgrgrgrandmother was Maria Christina Kleckner and she married Mathias Snook. Her parents were John Kleckner and Anna Barbara Koch. Any connection?
  • Jim Avery

Thanks for the reply. My John Kleckner and wife Anna Barbara Koch were from Northampton County. I think John's father was Anthony. Does that help?

Hi Cuz!! Did you know there was a Kleckner who was a photographer somewhat well known for his stereographic views. I see his pictures from time to time on ebay.
  • Jim Avery

Hi Kathleen - No Kleckner photographs on ebay this morning. I googled Kleckner photography and there are a bunch of Klecners who are photographers. Must be the Kleckner genes. Here is a link for the fellow I am thinking about http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Family_in_front_of_a_sod_house,_by_Conklin_&_Kleckner.png . There was another Kleckner from Bethlehem who was a photographer and I found him at http://www.ocghs.org/

I do photography too. I am starting to put my pictures of Flickr. You can see my pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/jimindover/ .

Wow you diod find something about Mouton Kleckner. And he is a rather close relative to you. Might be interesting to photograph some of the scenes around Bethlehem and Mauch Chunk as they are today. Someone did that at Gettysburg and they are really interesting.
