Hi Wayne, We corresponded a number of years ago about Langston in North Carolina. Sorry, I don't know a Patricia Davies. Hope you're doing well. Larry Davies

Sorry. While I have a loadful of Nancys and Peters, I have no Stringers in my data base. I'm sure there's a connection, though, as seemingly all the southern Rowletts stem from the immigrant John.
The more I thought about it, I've seen Stringers in coorespondence. So, groaning, I got out the files, which weigh heavily. Luckily, I found one right off. I found Peter Rowlett, (William, William, Peter, John) be Chesterfield Co. VA; d abt 1822, Rutherford, TN? Married 1st Sarah Lester, Chesterfield, VA. Married 2nd Sarah "Sally Stringer" in Rutherford, TN, daughter of Ann Traylor. Children are Hannah, Lucy, Nancy, Catherine, William, Leonard, Zachariah, John, James. Is this your family?
Hi Wayne, I believe I am researching John Langston of Va/NC, but I'm still looking for the proverbial missing link. I have gotten back to Jacob Langston (1795-1885) and Mary Connerly (1804-1883) through oral family histories, gravestones and census records. Another researcher has emailed me that Jacob's parents were Absalom Langston (d 1802) and Dolly Jackson (d 1820), but I haven't found any other confirmation of that or how Absalom connects to John. Regards, Larry
Good evening. I checked my Canaday connections but don't find a Maud listed among them. The earliest I have is Emmanual Canaday in the last 1700s but I don't have a location for him. Sorry.
And now I must add an apology. I got my ancestors mixed up. I reread your note and checked the ARANT ancestors. I have a Clara Maud Boothby Arant but she was born in OR in the late 1800s. I checked the rest of the list and found a William Arant, born 1757 in North Carolina. His parents were Conrod and Elizabeth Arrant and they were in South Carolina. Does that help? Sorry for the terse comment earlier. I'm in the midst of a family emergency/crisis here and not hitting on all eight. Nancy
Hi Wayne, I want to tell you about a web site managed by Richard M. Biggerstaff. He has a huge database and you may be able to get some information from there. He lives in Cornelius, NC and his web site is blackkettle.org.
The reason I couldn't find Aaron was because I had Conrad's name spelled Conrod. My fingers don't understand 'spell check'. I looked up Elizabeth Reddick and found the right answers. Hello, cousin.
