Hello Kay .My name is Jennifer and I see that you are from Perth. Would you have known my Uncle Vic. Campbell. He lived at Como and was very into family history.
Hi Kay, thank you for your comments and nice to speak to someone. Don't think they are mine. Got to William and Jane Milligan with Robert and Jean Milligan being William's parents (William being born in 1807). Trying to find out more about Robert Milligan now. Do you have access to the Parish records then?
Best regards
Julia
Kay, you might find some valuable connections, news of events etc by joining nearly 290 Australian genealogists at The Australian Genealogists Group on Genealogy Wise http://www.genealogywise.com/group/australia
Long time no chat. Have a question/query for you. Jane found reference to a Jos McGeorge, one time President of NZ Plunket, late 1920s/30s. From what little I've uncovered I think she is Mrs Joseph McGeorge, but her initials might be A.C. McGeorge, and she might hail from Dunedin. Do you have any details about her and how she would relate?
Still puzzling over why G'dad changed the spelling of our name.
Been doing research on Mum's side, and found links to convicts here in Tasmania. Fascinating stuff. Have you used any of the UK newspaper archives in your research? Any particuarly site useful?
Have had contact from two distant relatives - Scott Paterson (Canada), and George Murray (Petone). I think Scoot has been in contact with you.
