    Paul,

There may be an issue on the Family Tree Maker User Home pages, which is what I think you are talking about.

I have been successful in updating my User Home Page.

Open the FTW.ini file by bringing up the about box and clicking on “Advanced”

In the FTW.ini file, add the following string to the [Options] section:

    HostName=familytreemaker.genealogy.com

Save the .ini file and restart Family Tree Maker.

Let me know how this works.

    Thank you,

    Russ

    Paul,

Go to your User Home Page, outside of Family Tree Maker, and click on Help and contact them directly or call them.

    Paul,

You are NOT asking for help with FTM Version 11, but to your Genealogy.com, Family Tree Maker User Home Page. There is a difference.

    Paul,

Yes, Ancestry has said that they do NOT support FTM Version 11 any longer. I have NOT seen anywhere, that they no longer support a Family Tree Maker User Home Page. Please ask them for a link to a Knowledge Base article that lets the user know that they no long support the User Home Page.

    Thank you,

    Russ

    Paul,

This has been going on for a while. But ask them how were the End Users Notified that the ability for us to Update a User Home Page, from within Family Tree Maker, any version before Version 16, is no longer supported. I have not seen such a statement. I have seen that software versions are no longer supported. But that's the way of the software industry. The User Home Page, for me, is different.

Hello - did you know that we have an active chat community here on Genealogy Wise. There are usually people in the chat room who can do lookups for you, answer quests, give advice or just talk. There are also scheduled chats on various subjects as well as trivia every Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Please join us sometime.

    Paul,

I think that it hasn't worked for longer then that.

If you have an Incident Report (trouble ticket), keep it open. They time out, so ask for status every once in a while.
