    Hello Janet,
I have strong links to Devon through my mother's family. I'll join your Buckland Brewer group as well and let you know more about the family that is connected with that part Devon there.

    Hello Janet,
I've just added the names of my links to Buckland Brewer on the group page. The family is called KENT and they migrated through N. Devon in the 19th century. One James KENT 1843-1903 married Ann LANG c1841-c1922 who came from Buckland Brewer in 1864 and their eldest son John was born there before they moved onto Parkham.

    Dear Janet!

I just received the info about the Buckland Brewer photo exhibit on October 9! Would love to be able to attend as that is my birthday! Tentatively, I have lower back surgery scheduled for October 4, so even if we had the financial capability to make the trip, post-surgery recovery makes it out of the question! If I am able, I will tune in to the site on the 9th, & perhaps pick up info, photos and comments! Thank you for making the exhibit possible; I will certainly be there in spirit!

    Your friend, Rendell

    Janet -

I have been working on my family history in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for some time now (Whettam, Keech, Rogers, Swan).

My Mum and her sister are planning a visit to the Isle of Wight next month and I am interested in (1) fleshing out the information that I have about the details and places of interest to the family in Shalfleet, Wellow, Ningwood, and Thorley and/or (2) finding someone who can escort them to places of interest and provide insight into local history.

I had contacted Jon and Hazel on the FHS website but your name popped up here when I searched for professional genealogists in Hampshire. I would love to hear from you if this is something you may be able to assist with. Thanks!
