My Noble's came from Kingsey Falls, Quebec area, not too far out of the border of NH and VT. I have a feeling they may have something to do with Ontario area, but have not found the Noble link to them yet. I've gotten as far as a John Noble born about 1805, not sure where. He married Catherine Johnson (Johnston). They had a large family, one of their sons (my direct ancestor) was David A. Noble born in 1832 either in Kingsey Falls or the United Kindom. He married a Mary D. Cross from Vermont. One of their sons was Frederick William Noble born 1864 in Kingsey Falls (my great grandfather) married Margaret S. Parker born 1875 in St. Regis, Canada. They met in Worcester, MA. I am unsure whether my Noble's are English, Irish or Scottish. On different census records they list all three depending on which census. In most of the US census they list Scottish. Up in Canada they list mostly Irish.

    Hi,
Sudbury, Ontario....neat place ...I have friends there...the Edgar Dupre` family....I must visit the area as know it is beautiful....I am waiting for info from a Cousin in New Brunswick with more info....am just strating the genealogy for the Blaney Family links I have...most of them went to New Bruhnswick, Canada...we are however, trying to find out what happened to a
George Blaney that my Dad said just disappeared and family members never knew what happened...also there is a John Blaney I would like to find out info on......someone apparantly moved to Newark, New Jersey by the name of Blanche Quinn .......perhaps Quinn was her married name rather than the middle name as I was told by my Dad years ago...Good to hear from you...Elaine

    Hi,
I have not got that far yet but Charles Alfred Blaney was my Grandfather 4-26-1881 0r 1882 DOB, his father was Henry Alfred Blaney born 1835...George and John were his brothers I think...not sure yet...there may have been a James E. and Josephine that come to US in 1910 -11 ???...I understand that Charles was the 5th child...not sure what his siblings names were ?? I have focused on obtaining more of the info on folks recent and one generation ago....once I have the info in I will go further... In the notes my Dad made, John was the Great grandfather... All is speculation until I go deeper to find out...Thank You for your assistance...Elaine

Still a work in progress, waiting to get a main listing from a relative
later this week, but have 9 generations back to the mid 1700's.

Have Dolly Madison, as an ancestor, married to President James Madison
    in the late 1700's.

    Thanks for reaching out!

Hi John, just curious if you signed up with FTDNA to test for L176.2? This is not a true SNP but is a pentanucleotide insertion (AAAAC) within the micro-satellite region of the Y chromosome which is repeated from 4 to 7 times. This appears to be downstream of P312 but before the other downstream true SNPs like M65, M153, SRY2627, U152 and L21. I believe is costs $29 plus a $9 fee. I tested postive for L176.2 with 7 repeats.

I recently got my test results from ancestry.com and have opted to get further testing done by FTDNA. Can't recall exactly how I got in to your group but there must have been some DNA connection. Almost all the Nobles in my family tree are from Westfield MA in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. What do I do next?

Thanks and I appreciate your helping me with this...I haven't spent any time on the site so I'll explore it and post some info.

Hi John, I noticed a new Noble member on FTDNA, fit # 182670. It is between us on the table of results. Unfortunately there is very little information about this family. Do you happen to know anything more about this person? Thx.
