Hi Michelle, Thank you for your email. It was so good to hear from you. I live in Wingham, about 4hours north of Sydney. My Father was born in Port Pirie, but moved to Leeton N.S.W. where he met my Mum.
I thought Robert was born in Germany, but it seems he was born in England. He was convicted of some crime & was sentenced to 7 years in Tasmania. He was on the ship "Royal George" arriving on 16/10/1830. He was convict no.1198. After his ticket of leave he arrived in South Australia in 1838.
You may know this information, I am trying to find out more about the English heritage. We are hoping to come to South Australia sometime. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Roma.
