    Thank you Diane. My dad's side of the family is from NC but I'm thinking parts of it may go back to VA but I've not gotten that far, yet. What's the best way to get the results to you. Just post them here or e-mail them to you? To tell you the truth I was a little surprised by the results. Not that I don't realize the history of slavery but based on the pictures of my granddad (he was already deceased when I came along) I just didn't think there would be. Oh and please know that I'm not ashamed of that just wasn't expecting it on that line. I've always been about finding my ancestors regardless because they are my history and I wouldn't be here without them.

    I went through ancestry.com. The report says I1 (formerly I1a). I'll print out a copy of the results, scan and send them to you.
