    Hi Trevor,
Thanks for your invitation. I fear that I have very little to contribute to your Penfold group, although you might be able to help me.
My main interest of research over the past 30 years has been the Vigars family originating near Tavistock in Devon. When unable to pursue this I have gradually researched all my maternal lines. At present I only have two possible Penfolds in my family tree and direct ancestors. These have been lifted from the IGI and I haven't had opportunity to confirm the information. A Sarah Penfold married a James Puttock on 9th July 1797 at Haslemere, Surrey. I believe she might be the daughter (baptised 14/7/1771) of Thomas Penfold and Mary Aten or Hatton married 16/1/1768 at Haslemere. If I have identified them correctly Sarah Puttock is my 4 x Great-grandmother. Are you able to provide any more information about them? I can pass onto you any information about descendants of Sarah that I have that you would like. Many thanks.

Many thanks for all the work you are doing. I will continue to investigate the people on my tree who were born in Kirdford, I feel there is a connection with the Kirdford tree as well.
    Best wishes

hello Trevor thanks for making contact. yes am very interested in the Penfold name, i think i may already have been in contact with your group on facebook. My grandfather's sister married a Penfold and they were living in Bedhampton Hampshire at the time, i believe they may have originated from Sussex. I am researching the Penfold family tree along with various others belonging to my family. Would love to hear from you. Yvonne
