Thanks Carleen - it was fine that he contacted me. I started a response and then got side tracked. He is really close to me - about an hour away so I may go look at his files. If I do I'll be glad to look for you also. I have a couple questions for you but I don't have my files close at hand right now, so I will get back to you later. I now know I went about things backwards - when I first started researching I downloaded the tree from the LDS Family search site (PAF5) and then adapted it to my needs. All my notes, documentation, etc are attached to this file. I have my own system to jog my memory as to what I'm missing for a person and what I've verified. But it is not easy to share. So I went to ancestry.com and started redoing all my info on a tree there - a very slow process. I don't subscribe yet so I'm not sure how I would share my files.Do you have any suggestions as to what might work or be a better option? Hi Carleen. Just saw your posting on the Finland Ancestry page and wanted to let you know that there IS a Iisakki Edvard born in Lapua to a Justiina Liisantytär Korpela. The birth date is 7 AUG 1887, though. Could this be your Iisakki? If it is, Justiina was born in Ylistaro on 5 DEC 1857. Since both Iisakki and Justiina are illegitimate, it will be hard to find fathers for them.

Looks like Jani Koski has already helped you in finding the birth record for your Issac Edward Korpela. The baptismal record provides us with some helpful info:
