    Pamela: My guncle Alexander McDonald emigrated to Bethanga, NSW sometime before1858 he married Jane Lyness 4 Nov 1858 in Rushworth, Victoria. I recently put 2 McDonald branches (1 in Queensland and 1 in NSW) neither knew the others existed.  Between the 2 families I added about 60 new McDonalds to my tree.  Alexander was the only 1 of my gfathers children who left Canada.  The others stayed in Quebec, Ontario and Saskatchewan.  I myself live in Vancouver, BC area (Delta).  If interested I can give u more info.  Fred
