Is Harmon a variation? Have you seen any connection with the Wolford surname in WV?

Hi Joan - To type in the chatroom put your cursor in the box at the bottom of the chat. There is a smiley face emotocon above the box. When the curor is there the outline of the box changes color to let you know it is OK to type there. Then when you are done hit enter or send. That is all that is to it. Thanks for the suggestions about early PA religions as a topic for a chat. I am interested in them too. Have you ever run into John Casper Stoever? He was a Lutheran minister 9in the mid 1700's in PA. He baptized and married hundreds of people. He also founded many churches but disrupted as many as he founded. An interesting character. Another interesting character is Michael Wohlfarth who was associated with the Ephrata Cloisters. He was one of the early Germans to use the printing press at the cloisters. He will be mentioned in next weeks chat as he travelled from Lancaster Co PA to Salem NC by way of the Great Wagon Road. Hope this helps
