I was looking at your surnames to see if we have any possible connections. Here are the only ones I find:
I have Huggins line out of Jones County, North Carolina. Actually, Lizanna Huggins Morton came to McNairy County, Tennessee by 1830 by way of Blount County, Tennessee and Alabama.
I also have a Wardlaw line in Anderson County, South Carolina. Mary Wardlaw was born c1804 in South Carolina and died 1862 in Anderson County. I don't know her parents, but her husband was Jesse Balentine.Ballentine.Vallentine.
I don't have a Hooker line, but I have two Hooker girls marrying JAMES boys, sons of William and Nancy Langford James. This family lived Tishomingo (now Alcorn county) and McNairy County.
I'd love to attend the Hardeman county Historical Meeting. What is going on with them. Do you want to go to the Hardin County Meeting Thursday night? It should be good. A man from Texas is speaking. His family lived near Shiloh during the battle and he is going to discuss it.
