What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Professional Genealogist
If you are a genealogy expert, what are your specialties?
I am a Technology Resource volunteer for Whispers from the Dust, an ICAPGen.org program whose goal is to preserve cemeteries. I am also a volunteer for Findagrave.com and RAOGK.org. I preserve family photos, help locate local documents, and take photos of gravestones for families.
Do you have a genealogy website or blog or belong to a Genealogy Society?
Dawn, I read in one of your comments dated March 21 to Eric about "As a professional genealogist I have the right to protect my work" and I have a question.
Being relatively new to Genealogy and wanting to start out on the right path, what is the best way to "protect" my work if I post it online if at a later date I want to publish a book? Also, are the photocopies of census, birth records, etc... copyrighted also?
There may be a group to help "newbies", if so could you direct me.
