Thanks for that Iain, I visited a relative today and we managed to find out that there was a connection in Inch but that gives us a lot more information. Would the Burns Monument Centre in kilmarnock be able to assist me in finding where my great grandparents would be buried if I have their name and date and place of deathbr /> Joyce
Hi Iain,I am planning a trip t Glasgow to find the final resting place of my grandmother and her daughter,She was Minnie Jane Hart age 36 died may 1910.She lived at 47 North St Whiteinch Partick. Glasgow with her husband Charles and three sons They were Irish but travelled to Scotland to find work.It is my understanding that the local church of Scotland had no burial ground so what I suppose I need is address of local municipal cemeteries which were active in 1910.Hope you can help Jim Hart
Hi, I am trying to find some early information on my gg grandparents, James Kennedy (1783-1861) and Grizel (Grace) Campsie (1788-bef1871). They immigrated to Canada (Ontario) in abt 1856, with 4 of their 5 sons and their 2 daughters along with their children's spouses and grandchildren. My Greatgranfathers gravestone is marked "a native of Cargill, Perthshire, Scotland". If anyone has any information on this branch of my family it would be much appreciated!
