Shreck is spelled many ways, so there may be some connection. I've recently found that Catherine (maiden name unknown) Shreck lived to be 91 and was married to Christian Shreck (spelling can vary). I don't have any birth or death information on him. My info on Catherine is at home. This info is from my memory. The family was in Virginia in the early 1800s and Chriistian appears to be a veteran of the War of 1812. Catherine filed for a pension on him. I'm working on getting a copy of that. What is the time frame for your George? Do you know where his parents were born? I believe that one of Catherine and Christian's children may also be a "George Shreck" from the Corydon Indiania area. Does any of this information tie into what you know about your family? How do you connect to Kittermans?
I believe Catherine Shreck's daughter Mary Shreck married John Kitterman. I'm a descendant of that marriage.
