I am also interested in Hoopes family. My husband is direct descendant of Daniel Hoopes.

Not sure about Brown family. My husband's mother & father divorced when my husband was young. Only know that his grandfather was born in Ohio and married Mary Jane Heavilin in MO, then later settled in NE. Censuses indicate his parents came from Scotland, but cannot trace further. Brown is such a common name.
