    Trying to locate parents of my g.g. grandmother Matilda Scott, at lest one quarther Cherokee or more. Matilda Scott was born March 14, 1828 in Indiana, possably Morgan Co but not proven

    If she were Cherokee, look in North Carolina Records for her father.

    If they "originated" in Indiana, look for Delaware tribal documentation via Western Band Cherokee or via Delaware of OK.
