    Hi Lesley. I guess it's confusing and the length of my comment was an issue. My grandfather, Andrew John McDonald's place of birth on his marriage certificate stated Burntisland NSWales (Australia). When I couldn't find Burntisland in Australia, I was told it was in Scotland, that's when I stopped searching for him in Ireland. I am unable to comment on siblings for Andrew John as his only living son in Australia knows nothing of his father's family except that the name Pringle (as in Nellie Pringle on Andrew's marriage cert) rings a bell.
