Elizabeth Fulford b1759 d 1789.Her brother John had Phillip my ggg Grandfather also Bartholomew b1800 and William the latter two went to Canada in 1848..
I was at the United Church Archives last week and was looking at the microfilm of the Bible Christian Observer which was published from 1867-1884. If there is an obituary for one of your family members or what was called a Memoir then you may find information regarding their immigration in greater detail. As you mentioned in your Buckland Brewer note the online services of the Archives is limited (this seems to be due to limited funding). It is best you call ahead to let them know you are coming. The UC Archives is closing in May to relocate back to downtown Toronto and will not reopen until September so a summer trip will not be possible. My children are descendants of three Bible Christian families who came to Canada in 1831, 1848 or so and 1875 and I agree that finding information about the early immigration is a challenge, especially ship records. I am not sure if there would be any records of this nature at the UC Archives.

Hi John.
Have traced the Fulford members who went to Canada in 1848.
In contact with living members of the family.
Noticed you live in Ontario as they did at Port Hope.
Regards.
