    I am working on the Powell's of Long Island, NY and trying to connect Thomas who bought the land for what is now Bethpage and Farmington, Long Island, to Moses and Obadiah Powell, of Westchester, Dutchess and Saratoga Counties, in NY.

    I am looking for documentation on Thomas Powell, where he came from in England and wehn he arrived in Long Island, NY.  Do you have documentation as to him being the father of Moses Powell? The Powell's I am looking for left Bethpage Long Island that Thomas presumedly founded, and Moses and Obadiah went to Westchester and Dutchess Counties, later settling in Saratoga County. I am looking for the town clerks who keep vital records for the years of 1675 - 1850.
