I believe Maskle & Dewey Helton Wilson are buried in Colbert Co., AL. Do you know where they are buried?
I need to tell you that I don't believe our Helton lines are related. I discovered Dewey Helton by accident when I found a marriage record for Miss Dewey Helton and Maskle Wilson at the Circuit Court in Iuka, Tishomingo Co., MS in 2007.
My Helton line came thru Tennesse prior to settling in Tishomingo Co., MS. I researched Dewey's family to try to make a connection. Her ancestors lived in Georgia prior to settling in Tishomingo Co. The information I have regarding your Helton line is my research and that of others. I would be glad to share what I have.
Maskle Wilson's sister, Fannie married Newton Lee Parsons. My g grandmother and Newton Parsons were 1st cousins. I am willing to exchange information regarding Newton Parsons' family.
Newton Lee Parsons and Fannie Wilson' marriage record:

Newton Parsons died 09 Dec 1920. He is buried in the Parson Cemetery. Tishomingo County Mississippi Cemeteries page 272. His wife is not buried with him. I don't know if she remarried or is buried in a family cemetery in Alabama.
Note: the surname Parsons and Parson was sometime used to indicate the same person. The surname I am researching is Parsons.
Hi Joshua,
Not sure if you have had a chance to review your Wilson genealogical information or not. I believe I found another connection with a sibling of Maskle Wilson and a Parsons.
Another Parsons researcher sent the information regarding their marriage record. I have not been able to verify that the couple married. I live out of state, thus unable to visit the Circuit Court in Iuka.
