I am currently taking my first GenealogicalStudies.com course in social media for genealogists, and I'm not a social media type of person.  So this whole thing has been new to me.  Me joining this Hall discussion group is as a result of an assignment for the course.  On the other hand, I am a member of a Hall family that I have followed back from Indiana to Kentucky and on to Virginia.  So this is a potentially valuable activity for me.  I'm not sure as to what to do at this point, but I've joined Genealogy Wise and I've joined the Hall discussion group!  I will sincerely make an honest effort not to waste anyone's time.  I'm a retired history teacher, and a genealogist for about 7 years.

My great-grandmother was Bertha Hall b.1873 in Norway.  Her parents were John and Ellen Hall.  The family migrated to Waseca County, MN between 1880 and 1882.  I was told that this is a very large family, and not all family members took the Hall name (some may be Johnson or Sickle) but I have not found any evidence to support that.  Other family names associated with this family are Bagne, Storlie, and possibly Paulson (Paulsdatter).  I am hoping to find someone else who is researching this family.
