George (1864-1947) and Helen Inkster (1871-1949), with their children, residing in Grangemouth, Scotland. They had moved from Burra Isle, Shetland, looking for better opportunities for the children.
Back Row (left to right) - William (b1913) a butchers assistant in Grangemouth, odd job man at Hampstead College, London and lastly had a garage business in Corby; Robert (b1900) I was told that he was a bigamist; Laurence (1894-1969) was simple after it is said he was dropped on his head at birth; Kate (1905-1960) never married, always with the family, died of throat cancer in her 40's; Charles (1901-1980) foreman of sawmill back in Shetland, then emigrated to Canada; George (b1897) had scrap metal business in Grangemouth, emigrated to Bermuda and then Australia; James, deserter in Italy during the Second World War, was found and put in Dover prison, took his Italian mistress back to Grangemouth with him.
Front Row Sitting (left to right) - Tommy (1910-1985) worked at Heyam Sawmills in Shetland with his brother Charles, dodgy to have around children; Phylis (b1899) her name was short for Philadelphia which was a popular name in Shetland; Lyall (b1915) customs officer in Harwich, Essex; Helen the mother; Helen junior (b1904) emigrated to Canada; George the father
