Hi Lisa nothing much my dad is from Birkenhead on the wirral was born in 1931 with two brothers one sister. His mum was a Howard until she married my grandad Frederick holtaway. I know that the only holtaways on the Wirral are my family members. If u need any information I'd be glad to help. Have you found anythin good??
Thanks Lisa, I do in fact have most of the information you sent, but I see that the ESS_06 tree I have on the GW site hasn't been updated since July. I will do that this evening. Steven
That's incredible news! So many family bibles have been lost. Just goes to show that one should never give up searching. I would certainly be interested in any details, including photos you might have.
I have recently been helping someone from Tasmania on this family. The only way forward from where we are currently is to look up some Essex parish registers at Chelmsford, which I will be doing next time I am over. To join the group, they have to go to the group page and click 'join this group' (or similar). Otherwise, send me an email address and I will send an invitation.
Congratulations, exciting times for you !
The Eleanor Fogg marriage was one of the updates I had made to the files. I found it while I was at the Salt Lake City library in March, when I systematically went through the Fyfield PRs. In fact there may not be very much else new in the files since January, as I was not concentrating on this particular family. I am systematically going through all the families and updating them on GW.
