Marriage/Divorce Records in St. Louis, MO

Thanks for your response, Michele. Do you know what determines if a particular record is City or County-held? Also - are you aware of anyone who could conduct such a search for me in the St. Louis area? I am looking for my father's marriage to his first wife and I don't know for sure that they were married in St. Louis.

Danielle,

It depends on if you are looking for City or County records. The City is located in the City Hall on Tucker St. while the County records are in the County gov't building in Clayton MO which is a suburb of St. Louis City.
