My interest is in the Thompson family of Alabama. My great grandmother was Nancy E. Thompson, born about 1839 in Coosa County, AL. and died abt 1910 in Elmore County. AL. She married my great grandfather William Wesley Church in 1862. Her parents ...on Tuesday.

    Ray Thompson

    My g. grandfather states he was born in Alabama in 1831. I can find no record. He had a twin brother. They were orphaned. One story is their father got into an argument with a tenant and was killed. Don't know anything about their mother except Marcus (my g.grandfather) said he was related to General Lafayette. There were several cholera plagues in Alabama early 1830's so I'm thinking their parents died in one.
