William Henry Perrin married Edmonia B. Orendorff, the d/o Mexico & Mary Orendorff.

    What an unusual first name, especially for the time.  There had to have been some strong connection but it is not readily apparent.

      Well, if he lived most of his life in KY it shoots down the Texas connection......the clipping does not mention status as a veteran.   Very, very unique name...for his parents to have given him a birth name of Mexico stretches the imagination.

        Just probably an unrelated tidbit....there is a Mexico, KY....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexico,_Kentucky...Crittendon county...not too far..a few counties west of Breckenridge, Ky.  No info on when this unincorporated community came into being so it is not clear if there is any match up between Mexico Orendorff and Mexico, KY.

        Description The house was said to be 100 years old when this photo was taken in 1920. The log house has a shake roof and two cut-stone chimneys. The family is on the porch, some in a porch swing.
