    David     Do ALL your research before you go. Research takes a lot of time. Your time there is precious. Enjoy every minute. Take lots of notes (about everything including names addresses places observations) while you are there (like a journal)   and lots of pictures too (not just tourist things, every day life too). Spend time walking around. Go shopping at the market place (torget). Talk to people.

    Another tip...  I just met a woman at the big Genealogy Jamboree with a "business card" with her name and email on one side and a list of people she is looking for on the back. The card will live long past people's memories of her.

    I am looking for my Great Great Grandfather Sven (Daniel) Sandberg. He was born in April 1833 in Sventorp Sweden. His wife is Louise. Looking for his parents!?

    We are coming to Gothenburg Sweden in July and we are taking the train up to Skodve to see if we can find any of the family. Can anyone help?

        I am trying to find Alfred and Anna Carlson, who lived in Skovde, Gotseland, Sweden. They had a son named Hjlamar George Carlson 7-24-1891 to 1973. This is my ggrandfather. I am trying to find anything about his parents and back. Any help would be great. I know  Hjalmar went to the USA in 1910 to New York and I have the family from there, just not back.
