Somerset Heritage Centre

If you are planning to visit Taunton and the Somerset Records Office in the coming months and next year, please check out this web site before you go. The various history offices and libraries are relocating to a purpose built centre.

    Somerset Record Office is now closed on Mondays until September.

    Original documents will not be available after Easter until the new
    Heritage Centre opens in September. Microfiche/film access is still
    available until July.

    The record office will be completely closed from July to September.
    Telephone, email and snail mail enquiries are still being answered.
